How much does a private wine tour on the Alsace Wine Route cost?
In brief
A private wine tour on the Alsace Wine Route costs between EUR 320 and EUR 640 in a sedan (1 to 3 passengers) and between EUR 440 and EUR 880 in a van (4 to 7 passengers), for durations of 4 to 8 hours. The rate is all-inclusive: vehicle, driver, fuel, vineyard kilometres.
The price of a chauffeured tour on the Alsace Wine Route depends on three parameters: duration in hours, vehicle type and departure point. The system is deliberately simple: hourly rate, vineyard kilometres included, no hidden fees. Stops at wineries or restaurants are not charged as waiting time.
Indicative price list
The 2026 rates are structured by duration and vehicle type. Figures below assume a departure from Strasbourg or its airport, with a route inside the Alsace vineyard.

- Van 4-7 passengers: 4 h = EUR 440, 6 h = EUR 660, 8 h = EUR 880.
- Departure from Colmar, Mulhouse or Saint-Louis: surcharge EUR 30 to EUR 50 depending on distance.
- Weekend and public holiday surcharge: none (same rate all days).

- Group tour (half-day): EUR 70 to EUR 90 per person, fixed itinerary, short stops.

Frequently asked questions
Can the rate be negotiated for groups or corporate clients?
For recurring tours (corporate events, travel agencies, tour operators), a bespoke quote is issued. Contact us at routedesvins@fj13.fr with dates and volume.
Is there a surcharge for airport pickup?
No surcharge at Strasbourg-Entzheim airport, as it lies 15 minutes from the northern start of the Wine Route. Other airports (Basel-Mulhouse, Frankfurt) carry a mileage surcharge.
Does the price vary with the season?
No. The hourly rate is identical year-round. In peak season (April to October and Christmas markets), booking 2 to 3 weeks ahead is recommended to secure a vehicle.
What happens if my visit runs longer than planned?
Extra hours are billed at the vehicle's hourly rate (EUR 80 sedan, EUR 110 van). On-the-spot extension is possible if the driver is available. The original quote is calculated with a margin, so this case is rare.
Can I share a van with other travellers to reduce the cost?
This service is not offered: every booking is private. Solo travellers or couples looking to share should consider organised group tours, which remain the most economical option.
